Full question
I want to make Nigella's Breakfast Bars but need to know how long they keep in a tin, as I want to take them on holiday.
Our answer
Nigella's Breakfast Bars (from NIGELLA EXPRESS) store very well and should keep in a tin or airtight container for around 10 days. The bars will become slightly softer and more chewy as they are stored. The container should be kept in a cool place and away from direct light and if it is very hot weather then you may prefer to leave the container in the fridge.
It is also possible to freeze the bars for up to 3 months. Either put the bars in an airtight container, with baking parchment (parchment paper) in between any layers, or tightly wrap the individual bars in clingfilm (plastic wrap) and seal in a freezer bag. The individual bars thaw quite quickly at room temperature.
