Full question
Hi there, where does Nigella source her spaghettini for Spaghettini With Lemon And Garlic Breadcrumbs from Nigellissima? Spaghettini is quite common in Canada where I am from, but I live in the UK now and cannot find it. Thanks! Derek
Our answer
Nigella's Spaghettini With Lemon And Garlic Breadcrumbs (from Nigellissima) uses this pasta, which is a skinnier form of spaghetti, as it cooks very quickly. However regular spaghetti can be used instead.
Spaghettini used to be available in many UK supermarkets, sometimes labelled as fine spaghetti, but seems to have disappeared of late. Many Italian delicatessens stock the pasta and both Barilla and De Cecco brands are worth looking for. The pasta can also be bought on-line from several sources, including Amazon and Nife Is Life in the UK.
