Didn’t have any rosewater to hand but I did have a bottle of rose-infused muscat which worked perfectly (and would have been a fabulous accompaniment had I not made this for morning tea at the office). I was also fresh out of roses but added some sparkle with some edible gold sugar! This cake was extremely well-received and I shall definitely be making it again
