This is another of Nigella recipes that was straightforward, precise and accurate. I've infused my milk with orange zest, cardamom pods and clove, according to Nigella instructions but, I've also added a pinch of saffron strands to the infusion. I just love the hint of colour and flavour that saffron strands impregnates into the dough. For the sugar glaze, I've used freshly squeezed blood orange juice mixed with caster sugar. These were my two twists on the original recipe and, I must state: These buns were truly and highly appreciated by family and friends.
