I bought hazlenut meal and quite like the speckly finish.... I forgot the icing sugar but I left them as they are as they are quite different to my usual dull shortbread. I couldn't find red currant jelly/Jam in my local Australian supermarkets, so I used Raspberry jam and Apricot jam for a spack of colour in my Christmas Trees & Christmas Baubles. The recipe was spot on and I ended up with almost 24, as per recipe. I also heated up the jam in the microwave for a few seconds, as I thought they may jam/stick together better, which they did.
