Introduction
Story goes this salad is what American composer/lyricist Cole Porter supped on while living at the Waldorf/Astoria Hotel in New York in the 1930's. The original recipe did not have Stilton.

Ingredients
Serves: 4-6
- 2 cubed red apples
- 2 cubed green apples
- 2 sticks chopped celery
- ½ cup golden raisins
- 1 cup Zante currants
- walnuts
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream (light, or creme fraiche)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 8 ounces crumbled stilton cheese

In large bowl combine all ingredients save the Stilton. Mix. Crumble Stilton over top and gently fold in not to break up crumbles. Chill.
