Melt butter in a large pan, mix in syrup and add sugar. Add beaten eggs. Add the flour through a sieve, mixed with bicarbonate of soda and the spices. Stir until you have a smooth dough. Bake at 200 degrees celsius for 6-8 minutes, centre oven.
