My Figs

In a small heavy bottom pot, on medium heat, mix figs, sugar, orange blossom water, or rose water and lemon juice. Place a lid on and bring the fruit to bubble. Let it simmer gently for 10 minutes or until thickened and soft. Let cool. Serve in tall glass jars along with whipped cream, whipped mascarpone, fresh berries, candied walnuts, candied pecans, and apricot jams for a fabulous dessert.

- 20 fresh figs
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom water (or rosewater)
- 12½ cups lemon juice
