these are a bit like nigella's ''union square cafe bar nuts'' but are a bit more simple, these are great when ever, i don't know how long you can store them for, because they are all eaten with in 10 miniutes of them being made! give them a try....

Ingredients

Serves: how ever many nuts you use

Metric Cups
  • 50 grams butter (softened)
  • 25 grams brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 300 grams pecan nuts
  • 1¾ ounces butter (softened)
  • ⅞ ounce brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 10⅗ ounces pecan nuts

Method

  • Heat oven to 180c/fan 160c/gas4, mix the butter, sugar, and pepper together, then toss through the pecan nuts, line a tray with baking parchment, then spread over the nuts in a single layer, cook in the oven for 5 minutes,
  • then give then a good stir then cook for another 5 minutes, or until they are crisp.
