Ingredients

Serves: 1

Metric Cups
  • 140 grams sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 4 tablespoons grand marnier (or other orange liqueur)
  • 3 tablespoons marmalade (bitter orange mixed with the juice of 1 lemon)
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • ½ litre cream
  • chocolate chips (bitter chocolate)
  • 5 ounces sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 4 tablespoons grand marnier (or other orange liqueur)
  • 3 tablespoons marmalade (bitter orange mixed with the juice of 1 lemon)
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • ⅞ pint cream
  • chocolate chips (bitter chocolate)

Method

  • Beat the egg yolks until creamy and white (seems to take ages) then add the sugar and continue to beat until it's a wonderful pale cream. then add marmalade/lemon juice and liquor.
  • Beat the cream till stiff and gently fold this into the orange mixture.
  • Freeze and serve with love, scattered with choccy chips (optional, doesn't really need anything) I made this in a silicone gugelhopf form, and it came out so easily. The best use for these silicon shapes as baking in them is not really satisfactory
