Introduction

This is a delicious version of a trifle which i came up with one lazy sunday afternoon- it's great for you kids or even as an indulgent, guilty treat for yourself! This recipe is a delicious trifle without the horrible soggy sponge layer & alcohol which is not great for the kids!

Ingredients

Serves: -

Metric Cups
  • 3 packets raspberry jelly
  • 1 punnet raspberries
  • 1 punnet strawberries
  • 3 bananas
  • custard
  • 2 tubs double cream (thick)
  • glace cherries
  • chocolate drops (or buttons)
  • 3 packets raspberry jell-o
  • 1 punnet raspberries
  • 1 punnet strawberries
  • 3 bananas

  • 2 tubs heavy cream (thick)
  • candied cherries
  • chocolate drops (or buttons)

Method

Yummy Yummy in My Tummy is a community recipe submitted by Lizzie Jacobs and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • The first thing to do is make up the jelly as the instructions on the packet advise & pour into a large glass bowl.
  • To the jelly liquid add all the strawberries & raspberries then leave to set in the fridge.
  • Chop all the bananas and mix into the custard.
  • Pour the Custard & banana mixture over the cold, set fruit jelly.
  • Whip all the cream and spoon copiously over the custard.
  • Lastly decorate with glacier cherries & chocolate drops!!
