  • 8 sausages
  • olive oil
  • 2 large leeks
  • 1 stick celery
  • 10 mushrooms (or more)
  • 1 cup cream
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 18 ounces tagliatelle
  • grated cheese (optional)

  • 500 grams tagliatelle

Method

Sausage and Cream Pasta is a community recipe submitted by renee and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Fry eight pork sausages in a little oil till browned; (they do not need to be completely cooked). Slice into circles when cooled.
  • In a little more olive oil, stir-fry two fat, thinly sliced leeks, a thinly sliced small stalk of celery and about ten sliced button mushrooms, all till soft.
  • Add the sausages again and a cup of cream, salt and black pepper. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Serve over tagliatelle. (The tagliatelle I used had basil in it.) If this is not enough cholesterol for you, add some grated cheese on top.
