Set oven to 500 degrees F (+- 250 degrees C) Rub butter well into flour, add pinch of salt. Put milk, sugar and bicarb into a pot on stove on medium heat and stir occasionally. When frothy remove from stove and add to first mixture. Form dough and roll out to desired thickness and cut with cookie cutters and place on baking tray. Bake for 5 minutes but do keep an eye on them as they burn easily.
Introduction
This is from my Mum and is a very old recpe hence the once measurement.

- 4 cups flour
- 6 ounces butter
- 1½ cups sugar
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 pinch of salt
