Ingredients

Serves: 4

Metric Cups
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons tomato puree (or ketchup)
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 2 teaspoons English mustard (any mustard will do)
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown muscovado sugar
  • 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 12 pork ribs (or 6 spare rib chops)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)

  • 4 tablespoons tomato puree (or ketchup)
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup or light corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons English mustard (any mustard will do)
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 12 pork ribs (or 6 spare rib chops)

Method

Sticky Spare Ribs is a community recipe submitted by suziewong1 and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Put the ribs into an ovenproof glass (easier to clean) baking tray.
  • Put all other ingredients into a saucepan and heat gently until smooth. This will only take a couple of mins. just until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour the sauce all over the ribs, making sure that they are evenly covered.
  • Cook at 180 degrees for approx 45 mins.
  • If the sauce is still a bit runny, remove ribs and boil the sauce on top of the cooker for a few mins until it becomes syrupy.
  • Pour over the ribs or serve separately for dipping.
