Apple and Date Crumble

Grease a baking dish with butter. Line the dish with apple slices. Spread the dates and then the cashew nuts in a thin layer on top. Sprinkle cinnamon powder over this. In a bowl mix flour, semolina, sugar, butter and the remaining cinnamon powder till it becomes soft and crumbly in texture. Spread the mixture over the apple and dates till it is about 1/2 an inch thick. Press it down with damp fingers and bake it in a pre- heated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 mins or till the apples start boiling. You can serve it hot with chilled whipped cream, ice cream or custard.
