  • 750 grams apples
  • 50 grams butter
  • 150 grams breadcrumbs
  • 50 grams jaggery
  • 125 millilitres natural yogurt (or cream)
  • 1 lemon zest
  • 26½ ounces apples
  • 1¾ ounces butter
  • 5⅓ ounces breadcrumbs
  • 1¾ ounces jaggery
  • 4 fluid ounces natural yogurt (or cream)
  • 1 lemon zest

Method

  • Peel, core and slice apples.
  • Cook in a covered pan with a little water and lemon rind.
  • Add yoghurt/cream to the cooked apples.
  • Melt butter in a pan and cook the breadcrumbs and jaggery until it caramelizes. Cool and crush.
  • Arrange the apples and caramel in layers. Serve chilled.
