Apple and Bacon Mashed Potatoes

Par boil the potatoes and then add the apples which are peeled and cord and cut into peices. Cook until soft. Fry streaky bacon in a frying pan and keep aside. Mash the potatoes and apples with a potatoe masher and add a small dollop of butter. Add streaky bacon and fat from the streaky bacon into the mash. Make sure you salt and pepper the mash after adding the streaky bacon as the streaky bacon has a lot of salt.
