Peel potatoes, cut into chunks and boil in water 15 minutes, meanwhile steam cabbage, leeks and broccoli. Drain the potatoes and mash with 2 tbsp butter, the milk, nutmeg and the salt & pepper. Stir in the veggies and mix. Spread in an oiled 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Dot the remaining butter over the potato. Sprinkle over a good amount of parmesan so you have a nice layer. Place under the grill for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Introduction
This has to be one of my favourite comfort foods in winter.

- 5 large potatoes
- 2½ cups chopped cabbages
- 2 chopped leeks (washed)
- 2½ cups coarsely chopped broccoli
- 4 tablespoons butter
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- salt
- pepper
- ¾ cup milk
- grated Parmesan cheese
