Introduction

I was shown this recipe 20 years ago and was wide eyed thinking yuk yuk! .. but ate and ate and ate the final result we call it garlic yum yum & we eat it almost once a week.

Serves: 4

  • Heat the oil in a large heavy based sauce pan and add the garlic. Cook for about 2 / 3 minutes - do not alow to bown.
  • Add all garlic puree and turn down to a lower heat. Stir all the time. After about 5 - 7 minutes you will notice that the tomatoe puree has turned from a bright red to a darker red.
  • Add to a full pack of boiled drained pasta and serve hot whilst sprinking with parmesan
  • Additional Information

you can throw on some basil or Parsley to brighted it up. It is absolutely delicious, quite cost effective and quick. the sauce improves over night and can also double as a fab pizza sauce. Oh and weirdly it doesn't taste of garlic .. it is just rich. Final note - Don't put too much sauce on the pasta - rather coat the pasta and stir in well.
