PRE HEAT THE OVEN TO 160 OR GAS MARK 3 BOIL THE KETTLE, GREASE AN SQUARE OF ROUND CAKE TIN AND LINE WITH BAKING PARCHMENT. EMPTY THE DATES INTO A BOWL AND POUR ON THE WATER AND SET ASIDE FOR 15 MINS. IN A CLEAN BOWL BEAT THE EGGS AND ADD THE ALMOND EXTRACT, COCOA POWDER AND HONEY, MIX WELL. DRAIN THE DATES AND BLEND TO A PULP ADD THE REST OF THE MIX AND FINALLY STIR IN THE GROUND ALMONDS. POUR THE MIXTURE INTO THE LINED TIN AND BAKE FOR 45 - 55 MINS( THIS IS A DENSE CAKE THAT WILL NOT RISE) TURN ONTO A COOLING RACK
