Walnut Brownies

Preheat oven to 180C, prepare 27x18CM tin. Combine butter, sugar, water and golden raisins in a small pan. Stir low heat for 5mins until butter is dissolved, remove from heat. Sift dry ingredients in a large bowl, add nuts and choc bits. Add butter mix to dry ingredients, stir until just combined; do not overbeat. Spoon mixture into prepared tin, bake for 30 mins or until a skewer comes out clean. Leave to cool and then ice. To make Icing: Beat butter, add sugar, cocoa and milk, beat until smooth. Spread onto brownie, cut into diamonds and decorate each with half walnut.

For the Brownies
- 4 ounces unsalted butter
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup water
- ¼ cup chopped golden raisins
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- ¼ cup chocolate (bits)
- 1 ounce walnut halves
For the Icing
- 2 ounces unsalted butter
- 6½ fluid ounces confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tablespoon milk
