Full question
Many of Nigella's baking recipes sound lovely. I love to bake but my only problem is that I am allergic to eggs (can and do use milk products though so not vegan!). I would love some eggless recipes if possible? Thank you!
Our answer
NIgella has many recipes that are suitable for people with food allergies, including nut-free, egg-free and gluten-free recipes. The easiest way to find them is to use the recipe search filter on Nigella.com.
Once you have clicked on the "Find A Recipe" box and put in the initial term that you want to search for, such as "muffin", then you will see that just below the box is a tab that says " More Search Options". Click on this tab and it will bring up some filters that you can use to refine the search, including vegetarian, vegan, egg free, dairy free and gluten free. Click on the box next to each type of recipe that you want to find. So for example, if you want egg-free recipes then click on the egg free box and a tick will appear. You can also search by "Occasion", such as Christmas or "Theme", such as comfort, by clicking on the the relevant item in the drop down menus for each of these filters. After you have chosen the filters that you want to use, use the "Search" button at the bottom of the page to search the recipe library. If you have already done an initial seach for recipes without the filters, you can use the "Refine Your Search" button at the top of the recipe summary to add filters. Please note that where Nigella has used plant-based milk, yogurt and butter in vegan or dairy-free recipes, you can use the dairy versions as well.
