Pancake Warmer

Full question
Hi! I know this sounds silly but I bought the exact same lime green pancake warmer that Nigella used in the Nigella Express series, however it didn't come with instructions so I'm wondering how it works. I hope you can outline how Nigella uses hers. Your help with this is much appreciated. Many thanks!

You are very lucky to have been able to find the Silicone Zone pancake warmer as it was discontinued some time ago and is much sought after. We suspect it is a second hand model which may be why the instructions are missing. However it is very simple to use as you don't need to pre-warm it. Nigella just transfers the cooked pancakes from the frying pan to the warmer, using a spatula, and puts the lid on. The silicone material is a good insulator and will keep the pancakes warm for about 20 minutes. The warmer can also be used to keep tortillas warm - heat them as directed on the packaging and then transfer them to the warmer.
If you don't have a pancake warmer then you can keep the pancakes warm for a short period by wrapping them in clean tea towels. If you want to carry them to the table then line a bread basket with 2 tea towels and put the pancakes inside the lined basket. Gently fold the edges of the tea towels over the top of the pancakes and they should stay warm for 15-20 minutes.
