Serves: approx 24

For the Cake

  • 12 ounces all-purpose flour
  • ¾ ounce baking powder
  • 3 ounces coconut
  • 2 ounces cornflakes
  • ¾ ounce unsweetened cocoa
  • 4 ounces sugar
  • 10 ounces butter

For the Topping

  • 170 confectioners' sugar
  • 7 unsweetened cocoa
  • 30 boiling water

  • Melt butter. Mix dry ingredients together. Add butter to dry ingredients and mix until they bind together.
  • Press into a square/oblong oiled tray, spread evenly and bake at gas 4/350f/180c for 20-25 mins.
  • When cold mix together topping and spread over cooked base.
