Kerry Apple Pie

Chop butter coarsely into the flour. Add peeled and sliced apples. Add salt or cinnamon. Beat egg and with enough water to make a soft dough. Add sugar. Bake in a tin for 3/4 hour, gas mark 6 or 7/ 200- 200 degrees centigrade. Sprinkle top with sugar.

- 8 ounces all-purpose flour
- 4 ounces butter (or margarine)
- 6 medium apples
- 4 ounces sugar
- 1 medium egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt (or cinnamon)
