Cream butter and sugar, add vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Shape balls into 1" diameter. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes (or until light brown). Remove from pan. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Roll again when cooled.

- ½ pound butter
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups chopped pecan nuts
- confectioners' sugar
