Great as a starter or main course for Veggies or as part of a meze. Especially niced cooked on a BBQ. (Everyone looks suspciously at the halloumi but love it once they've tried it!)

Ingredients

Serves: 4

Metric Cups
  • 1 packet halloumi
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 handful cherry tomatoes
  • 1 handful mushrooms
  • 1 large red onion
  • olive oil
  • herbs
  • lemon juice
  • 1 packet halloumi

Method

Halloumi Kebabs is a community recipe submitted by Tams and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Cut up all the ingredients into chunks apart from the tomatoes put in a bowl with a few glugs of oil the juice of the lemon and a good sprinkling of whatever herbs you have handy. Give it a good mix and leave to marinade.
  • When your ready thread onto the kebab sticks and cook over a BBQ, on a griddle pan or under a grill until cheese in golden brown.
  • Serve with salad for a starter or whatever you feel like.
  • You could forget the kebabs and stir fry all the ingredients and toss with pasta.
