Ingredients

Serves: 4-5 glasses

Metric Cups
  • 4 medium green mangoes Peeled and cut in half
  • 500 millilitres water
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds Dry roasted and ground
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper Coarsely ground
  • 3 teaspoons black salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves Chopped
  • 4 medium green mangoes Peeled and cut in half
  • 17½ fluid ounces water
  • 2 teaspoons cumin seeds Dry roasted and ground
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper Coarsely ground
  • 3 teaspoons black salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mint leaves Chopped

Method

  • Boil the peeled mangoes in the water till they are soft and cooked Remove the stone and put the mangoes with all the spices into a processor and blend together to make a pulp.
  • Now add water to this pulp stir to mix them well. Now again let this mix to simmer over gentle heat until it acquires an even consistency stir it occasionally pour into the jug add the mint leaves and give a stir let it cool and then refrigerate serve chilled. Your cool green drink is just waiting

    Add chaat masala to have a zing You can also store it in the refrigerator for 2-3 days . Note that the consistency should be not too thick rather light.If it becomes thick add crushed ice or chilled water in the individual glasses and then pour the drink, stir well.
